Agree the plan
Share one complete reference and name the version aloud. Decide how the group will pause for a question. Keep a place for unresolved details so they do not disappear into somebody’s memory.
Start with an open example
Explain choices before moving cards. Give each person a chance to ask about the current stage. Use the same reference for the answer instead of settling an argument by confidence or majority vote.
Keep the exercise bounded
Choose one goal: reading a call, identifying a legal play or recording a result. A session that tries to solve every exception at once can make the basic sequence harder to remember.
Finish with a shared note
Write one point the group understood and one question for next time. This is an original teaching routine, not a new format or an official tournament practice.
